As technology continues to advance the amount of electronic waste continues to increase. According to the UN Global E-Waste Monitor, a record 53.6 metric tonnes (Mt) of electronic waste was generated worldwide in 2019 and they predict that by 2030 that number will increase to 74 Mt.
